Want to help give thanks? Great! There are lots of ways to get involved. Please remember, all donations go directly to providing food to needy families.
Option 1: Give money
We make bulk purchases of some of the food items, such as meat. We use monetary donations to make that happen. If you need to know it, our tax ID # 75-0904027. You can make a donation by check to:

You can also donate online by credit card using the link below. Please note, we love having your donation in any form that you would like to provide it! If using the credit card option below, a small portion of the donation will be used to pay for the credit card fee. (Approximately 2.2% of the total donation).
Option 2: Give Food Items
We would love to help you clear your pantry, so long as your pantry contains the items listed below. You can bring your items to Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex, 100 Grand Blvd., on the Monday before Thanksgiving between 1 – 5 p.m. This year, that is Monday, November 20, 2017.
- Green Beans
- Green Peas
- Miscellaneous Peas or Beans
- Canned Meat
- Dessert (Please include icing if providing cake mix)
- Cranberry Sauce
- Canned Fruit
- Miscellaneous Vegetables
- Kool-aid, Lemonade, etc.
Option 3: Boy Scout Neighborhood Food Drive
We are so thankful to have the help of the Boy Scouts each year! On Saturday, November 19, 2017, the Boy Scouts will be collecting food door-to-door throughout East Texas. The food collected in the Longview area will go toward Longview’s Thanksgiving Food Drive. In other words, food collected locally helps people locally. Wondering what to give? Check out the list above. The Boy Scouts also collect in other areas and give their food to efforts in those areas.
Option 4: Donate at your neighborhood Super 1 Foods or Brookshires store
You can make a donation at Longview-area Super 1 Foods and Brookshires stores. Information will be available at check-out.
