We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always happy to have more volunteers help in the effort. If you would like to help, here are a couple ways to get involved:
Volunteer on Food Drive Day:
Help us sort thousands and thousands of food items on the Monday before Thanksgiving. It is a colossal effort of chaotic sorting. It’s a great time helping alongside lots of other volunteers. We ask that all volunteers be at least 16 years-of-age. Younger volunteers age 13+ are welcome, but only if accompanied and supervised by parents at all times. There is no need to sign up, just show up ready to work.
Host a Food Collection at Your Organization:
Rally your friends or co-workers in the Thanksgiving spirit. Encourage everyone you know to donate food items from our donation list. Hold a contest. Dress like a turkey. Promise someone you will eat a fruit cake if they reach your donation goal. In other words, have a good time gathering food items for donations. Then, bring your donations to the Food Drive on the Monday before Thanksgiving (November 21, 2016) from 2 – 6 p.m. at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex, 100 Grand Blvd.
